What Voters Value

There will be just 29 days left until the elections when the candidates take the stage Sunday night for the second presidential debate.

Ahead of Sunday’s debate, we took a look at Resonate intelligence on what traits different voting demographics value in a president. Here’s some of what we found:

  • Registered Hispanic voters are 26% more likely than the average voter to consider government leadership experience an important trait in a president.
  • Registered millennial voters are 58% more likely than the average voter to consider courage an important trait in a president and 27% more likely to consider charisma an important presidential trait.
  • African American registered voters are 26% more likely than the average voter to consider tough-mindedness an important trait in a president.
  • 31% of registered voters in swing states consider government leadership experience an important trait in a president.
